The Pavilion of Slope (2018)
Project Location: Tamsui Old Street, New Taipei City, Taiwan
The Pavilion's circulation or openings respond to the directional aspects and
appearances formed by the materials or structures within these alleys. With changes in scale, spatial elements yield varying functionalities for users. Within this Pavilion characterized by varying layers, individuals are subtly guided through Tamsui's alleys, observing thechanges between mountains and sea with each step.

The Layers Formed by the Alleys
The scenery observed from the entrance of the alley appears divided into numerous layers due to the road surface and the mountain's horizon line. The directional elements of the alley's architectural structures, railings, and the materials used in unauthorized constructions create varied arrangements or appearances from different perspectives. Additionally, the two buildings might form a curved skyline due to differing orientations and their protrusions.
