In Tamsui, Listening to Water, Touching Rain (2019)
Project Location: Tamsui Old Street, New Taipei City, Taiwan
'Water' has shaped the development of Tamsui Port, welcomed the divine water source flowing down from the foothills of Datun Mountain, and served as a fundamental element for shoreline living. The inseparable bond between water and Tamsui has led to incorporating water elements into the sacred space, establishing a relationship between the local essence of Tamsui and the church environment.
Sacred Space and Community Center
Each space here engages with water in a unique way, creating both a spiritual and physical connection. From the Water Entrance to the Rainfall Corridor, people here cultivate gratitude for the gifts of nature and strive to give back in return.
